thankfully i didn't hallucinate. The Vietnamese believe that this drink is good for the male libido but didn't mention hallucination. I later drank a complimentary shot of snake wine on Cat Ba Island from a much larger bottle, which was 'home' to a much larger snake. I think that i would now recognize the taste of snake, even without fermentation, its a little fishy, actually. My Cat Ba friends were in search of snake blood, which is rendered from a live snake right before your eyes. Drink the blood and the bile is free- thankfully, their search failed.
