Our friend Mike had hoped to travel along with us for a few weeks, as much to learn how to camp, he said, as to see Copper Canyon.  He wanted us “veterans” to shepherd him through the border crossing into Mexico, little knowing that each crossing is different.  Only preparation, patience and pesos can make it go smoothly.  Sadly he couldn’t fit the trip into his schedule and we cruised through immigration and auto registration without him.
