Chicago

Our fifteenth flight took us from Los Angeles to our eighteenth and final hotel – the magnificent Hilton on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago. Happily, for our final stop, they upgraded us to a room the size of a small town with a nice view down the Magnificent Mile. As a contrast to our salubrious home, we went to the Hard Rock Café for dinner – so Ciarán could sit on the other side of the counter and be served, rather than serve – as he did here for the summer months some ten years ago. Nice dinner, nice pints. All very nice.
