    5 ) A new novice bows in prayer, as he leaves the world he knows for a simple, unfamiliar life and a higher calling. by: chros Views[162] 4) Novice monks form a long moving line, making their way through the throng of well wishers. They modestly bow and avert looking into the eyes of the donor, as they accept money that will aid them in their future, minimalistic existence. by: chros Views[236] 3) After taking their vows, this young boy tepidly examines his new garments. The monks help each boy to dress in their new saffron coloured robes, which signify their new life’s path. by: chros Views[246] 2) Inside, the temple is filled with monks, dignitaries and the family members of the 65 boys that are commencing with the ordination ceremony to become novice monks. The boys wear white robes for the days prior to their ordination, where they learnt of the rigors of their future life and that represent Brahmanism, the religion before Buddha’s enlightenment. With newly shaven heads and white strings about the wrists for good luck, they kneel holding their new robes. by: chros Views[302] 1) The ornate Buddhist pagoda of Phra Maha That Kaen Nakhon, rises majestically 80 meters above Khon Kaen, Thailand.
