Simon,20 years? You'd be appalled - don't go back. We did the full trip; all the way up the east side and then down past Jomsom to the end on the west side. I be we lost 90% of the travelers due to the new road heading up - the dust was terrible - but I/we wanted to experience the full trip. I'd heard about it from the '80's and wanted to see the full Monty if you will. The east side is still pristine, although it's going fast, but the west side going down is a tough call as to whether to go. Good travels. Chris
