Religion is something inherent in human being and that accompanies him wherever he go. An example of this is the Orthodox Trinity Church, located on King George Island. Small but beautiful, immovable even in this remote part of the world.

Ice can be beautiful but also a barrier to navigation. A Russian scientist is forced to break a layer of ice that has formed in a short time to get out to the boat to check the status of a test he will have to study later.

The chinstrap penguin is one of the different species of penguin which is found the South Shetlands. Among all the local fauna, it was he who was more curious about my camera, approaching at a distance that I hardly could ever have imagined.
