At short distances with life I have always wanted to dedicate myself fully to documentary, wildlife and nature photography, being able to go around our world and reflecting every one of the noteworthy aspects that it has.

About carluscp

The chinstrap penguin is one of the different species of penguin which is found the South Shetlands. Among all the local fauna, it was he who was more curious about my camera, approaching at a distance that I hardly could ever have imagined.

As an undergraduate I had the opportunity to really learn photography, since I come from a small island that really are not many teachers. So when I came to the big city I started different courses and workshops to specialize and learn the disciplines of photography.

Since that time I have worked ocassionally in fashion photography with brands like Desigual and other magazines like Men's Health. As I said before, I have also worked sometimes with news agencies as Europa Press, which has given me great experience in working with people who have had to portray through my words and pictures.

I have also been volunteering for photographing with collaborators from magazines like National Geographic and Geo, who I have discovered the secrets that lie behind the light of the different situations in which a photographer can be found along its path.

Technically, I usually work with Canon and Sony equipment. I currently work with a Sony A77 and a pair of AF lenses (16-50 2.8, 70-300 G) optical and prime manual lenses. I always liked to take the minimum necessary number of pictures, because I think it is also important to live the moment with those people or beings that are the main characters of the image.
