Ice can be beautiful but also a barrier to navigation. A Russian scientist is forced to break a layer of ice that has formed in a short time to get out to the boat to check the status of a test he will have to study later.

Cohabitation is basic to human survival in Antarctica. Scientists from different countries studying the frozen continent must join forces to carry out their researches. In the picture, Russian scientists newcomers to King George Island collaborate with Chilean colleagues to download the necessary material for their job from a nearby vessel.

Religion is something inherent in human being and that accompanies him wherever he go. An example of this is the Orthodox Trinity Church, located on King George Island. Small but beautiful, immovable even in this remote part of the world.
