    This photo shows the hand of my father reaching out to a particularly brave and curious Gentoo chick. The simple composition mimics Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam and shows the risk the chick is taking trusting a large foreign creature and how nature, animals and human can coexist peacefully in the Falkland Islands. by: caitlinalice Views[533] Using a Fisheye lens, I was able to capture the immense curiosity and beauty of this magnificent black browed albatross. This albatross had just been in a fight with another albatross, at the end of the fight, the bird looked at the camera with a look as to say ‘you wanna go next?’. by: caitlinalice Views[993] On Sea Lion Island, a small island in the Falkland Islands, this baby elephant seal let me get extremely close to it. Within its gaze you can not only see its caution and curiosity, but also the reflection of the beach and me taking the picture. by: caitlinalice Views[632] During my time in the Falkland Islands, I found that the Rockhopper penguin is a curious penguin full of humour and bravado. Here the Rockhopper shows its personality, walking along the cliff with not a care in the world. by: caitlinalice Views[634] This photo shows the integration human civilization has made into the raw, untouched landscape of the Falkland Islands. The sharp rugged rocks are dangerous, yet the beauty of them, and the surrounding landscape, captures the attention and shows the contrast between the touched (the city in the background) and the untouched. by: caitlinalice Views[435]
