Laura, her
Mum and Kate had a LOOOONG day at the chilly but fun Royston Christmas Fair. We
had a lot slower start then after breakfast and walking the dogs Rawiri took us
to Knebworth House. It’s really close to their place and is famous worldwide
for its outdoor rock concerts and as the home of the Victorian novelist Edward
Lytton who wrote ‘the pen is mightier than the sword’. We admired the deer
grazing on their extensive estate, the cute chapel and churchyard, large
adventure playground, the house itself and a hollow tree we discovered.
Time had
flown by and it was time to visit the cupcake crew in Royston – we purchased
come cupcakes, heard stories from the day and explored the fair. There were
reindeer (real live ones) and many stalls with wares and tasty treats. We
resisted temptation and headed home to take the dogs out for a walk before
dinner.
Rawiri went
back to Royston (again!) to pick up Laura and drop off her Mum and Kate. They
had managed to sell everything they had = awesome! By the time they got
home Laura was totally exhausted from her chilly day of selling so enjoyed a
hot bath while Rawiri and Brayden organised beans, gravy and mini Yorkshire puddings
(Laura’s favourite) for dinner. We appreciated the delicious dinner while
watching more X factor. We three (Rawiri, Roni and Bray) then left Laura
relaxing in peace on the couch with the dogs and drove to Stevenage to watch Happy Feet 2 at the movies. It was a bit
of fun and we especially enjoyed Matt Damon and Brad Pitt the krill plus the
old favourites of Robin Williams and his cronies the ‘amigos’.
Home after
that for a little xbox before bed for the boys as per usual.
