Croissants
from a can? It’s possible...and tasty! Though we’re sure that purists and the
French would be shocked and offended by the whole idea. Kaff had found this can
of Jus’ Rol croissants at the
supermarket and knew that Roni would be keen as to give them a go and Bray
would most probably consume them! The process didn’t take long at all and the
end product was a tasty breakfast for us.
Kaff had an
appointment at the doc before taking us on an awesome walking tour of Aberdeen.
This tour included the Old Town, King’s College, Cathedral church of St Machar
and extended exploring of Seaton Park along the River Don. Day started grey and
a little drizzly but by our arrival at Seaton Park the sun was shining merrily
and the leaves were dry enough for us to fling them around a bit.
The Brig of
Balgownie proved ideal for a spot of kite flying – we have a tiny travel kite
on tour with us... Some stick racing in the river, looking at cute cottages and
cats in the vicinity then a snack by the river in the sun. The Hay family
(Roni’s Mum’s) had made their mark all over the place yet again with a heraldic
crest on the roof of the cathedral and a special fountain in Seaton Park.
After much
fun we three adventurers headed home where Roni made corn fritters with bacon
and avocado for dinner – more traditional Kiwi fare in the far North!
