The BIG Trip

Fish & Chips - Aotearoa style

GERMANY | Tuesday, 25 October 2011 | Views [461]

Today was a quiet day. Both Simon and Maren were at work and we needed to be home for a man to come and do something to the water meter after 2pm.

A slow start (especially for Bray...though Roni is learning) and breakfast before heading to the ‘Hamburg Mile’, this is a massive mall in the Munsburg towers just down the road from us. We were on the hunt for blank DVDs on which we can back up our photos from the trip so far and send them home to NZ in case of anything happening to our hard drive. Would suck to lose all those thousands of pics! Successfully purchased and home to start the process before Roni ventured out to the Tue&Fri market next to the river just around the corner from us where she managed to get some fish suitable for making NZ style fish and chips tonight.

We began the process of preparing dinner before realising a couple of essential ingredients were missing. Roni popped out on a quick mish then returned to help create the beer batter and salad – Bray had the spicy wedges under control. Maren & Simon enjoyed the Kiwi taste experience and we shared stories while relaxing until bedtime.
