We are ready to go!

SO the weekend was good! After the first day of work on frid we had the weekend off as we normally get when the owners arent on board. Rochelle and I decided we would go to Cannes for a night to check it out. Ended up being quite a big one and we went to check out Arman van helden at the Palais, huge club! got back at 6am saturday morning to be woken up at 8 by mike who said that I was on watch this weekend as I have taken over the roster of the last decky, so I was up and about at 8 to do a couple of jobs. Didnt want to start off on bad terms but he knew that I didnt know I was on watch. Watch involves getting up at 7.30, putting the passeralle down, turning the outside lights off from the night before, and then no other jobs until 5pm, sunet, and 10pm. Small jobs like taking the rubbish out etc so its all good and cruisy but you just have to stay on the boat and mind it!

Watched the soccer final on the boat, what a long boring game. Yesterday, monday, we started back at work, were heading off on wednesday so were preping the boat but its all pretty much ready to go. No point washing down as were heading to sea, so we just mucked around the boat and did the odd jobs. Today is much the same. nothing really to do, we fuelled up this morning and havent done much since. Just had an awesome lunch though! Heading out with Stuart, the captain, after this to try and sort a bank account before we leave tomorrow.

Hopefully we can squeeze in a wakeboard session tonight. Were leaving tomorrow probably after lunch, the trip to sardinia is about 14 hours, but then mike rackons the trip will go to sardinia, corsica then around italy to croatia and back through italy. Were going to be away from Golfe Juan for about a month and a half, and we should be getting some time to chill at each port and see some sights and go out! should be sick! Alot of my duties during the owners stay is to get up every mornint at 6.30, quick wash down the boat, and then not alot during the day unless they want to head out on the toys or the owners son wants to do something. Hes 12 i think and there plenty of water pistols etc on board so well be keeping him entertained and mucking round the boat.

Looking forward to the trip though. Will be a long time with all 8 crew crammed in here but will be all good! Stuart has drawn names out of the hat for being at the wheel for the passage. Myself and damian, the ozzy engineer, are on the graveyard shift, but at least we get to control the boat!

Right ive written enough, hope all are well at home! we still have internet wherever we are at sea! bye for now
