In preparing for our trip I researched a little bit on what kind of pants to bring. I found what I wanted at Moosejaw and ordered it online, unsure if I would receive them in time, I purchased another brand at REI. I ended up getting the first pair and packed both for the trip. I highly recommend purchasing at least two pairs of these pants if you travel for months at a time. My first pair from Moosejaw were Columbia – Omni-Shade 100% nylon, and the second pair from REI - REI brand 87% polyester and 13% spandex. These are great for both cold and warm weather. They have protected me from the wind, sweat in the heat, I can roll them up to capris size, and wear them to a nice dinner. I would have only brought one pair of jeans and another pair of these type of hiking pants if I knew I was going to like them so much (space and weight saver too!). Here is a link to REI to take a closer look:

I also purchased an Under Armor shirt after doing a little research on types and styles of tops to bring. These are very comfortable and breathe easy in warm weather, and I would have purchased two or three more if I knew I would like these so much. Here is an example of the shirt I bought:
