Church near my workplace. Nairobi is very Christian; recently there have been passionate discussions about the morality of homosexual marriage following the union of two Kenyan men in the UK.

Monument in Uhuru ('Freedom') Park, which owes its existence to Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai, who started the Green Belt Movement and saved the park from Moi's bulldozers in the 1980s (Moi famously suggested that she should be more of a proper woman in the 'African tradition') - it's a nice place to picnic during the day but somewhere to steer clear from at night.

Traffic jam along my walk back to the city from the office- I started off taking the bus then realised that to walk took only 15 minutes which the bus often took up to 30- traffic jams are a big problem in Nairobi, as there are no trains or trams, and people rely solely on matatus, buses and private cars to get around.
