I have a ghost

I'm sure he or she is Chinese speaking leaving little room for me to investigate why they are roaming an alternate reality between the living and dead.

I'm sure he or she is from the 15th century or something equally as untouchable.

I'm sure he or she is a phantom of the wind, only interested in opening and closing my bedroom door all night long.

I'm also sure that my open windows have allowed him or her to become a resident of my apartment.

Because I'm pretty sure the crazy weather is ultimately responsible.

But it's more fun to think of the culprit as an ancient Chinese sage.  Or a concubine of some long past emperor.  Or a Chinese medicine doctor who couldn't cure himself and won't forgive himself for it.  Or maybe a eunuch who's searching for his manhood before he can be properly ushered into a new realm.
