Alright so! The antibiotics I was on weren't helping. It spread down my arm and on my finger. (odd side note, all on my left side). And although we were all praying, people from home were praying, some of the teams parents and friends were praying, God decided to heal me another way. By doing this He has helped me realize that by going to a clinic and relying on the wisdom He gives them to give medicine and such is NOT going behind His back or not relying on Him. I have a really hard time with prayer and healing. I feel like I should be able to do it with God so I shouldn't have to go on medicine but truth is He gave people the ability to know what's wrong with me, what to give me and how much to give me on purpose so I should use that resource He's given.
I ended up going to a Christian clinic which was really cool. I walked in and there was a painting on the wall of Jesus standing beside a surgeon doing surgery. What a great feeling and service offered to these people. Ends up they don't take new patients on Fridays especially foreigners and on that day because it was so busy but one of the doctors had said he'd see me anyway so I got to fill out the forms and become a patient of the CSI clinic in Cambodia. It was weird though because I had to fill out a form saying where I was financially. I don't have a job, house or car so I got put in the lowest financial bracket. But even without those things I'm better off than everyone in that bracket and possibly the one about it. That was really hard for me. I'm glad they have a flat rate for foreign patients to donate. It wouldn't be fare for me to pay less.
I got in to the see the doctor and he started to talk about Rubella and Herpese. I was getting kind of nervous. He went to get a colleague for second opinion. He was quite shocked to come in to the room and not have a Khmer patient sitting on the bed. He knew what it was after asking me three questions "does it hurt? is it itchy? what did it look like at first?" He is teaching the Khmer doctor and helping him learn different diseases. What I have is a staff infection that is a certain bug immune to certain antibiotics, spreads very quickly, and, like other staff infections, make the skin fall apart. Kind of like making it deteriorate. They gave me a prescription and sent me on my way. I feel so blessed I got in that day. Absolutely amazing!! I still thank God everytime I think of it. It would have been very difficult to go through this weekend, go to China, and get in to a clinic there.
I took my first pill at noon that day. I need to take one every six hours for ten days. A few hours after I took my first pill the pain was gone! and after the second the red started going down and after the third the colour started changing. It was no longer red. It was healing so quickly! Praise God! It feels amazing to be able to move my arm and not be in pain. To change my shirt and not burst in to tears. To move my left hand and not drop what I just grabbed because I forgot I can't bend my finger. AMAZING! God is good! He healed me! Not in the way I thought He would or even in the way I thought He should. I thought it would give a great testimony for His amazing power if He healed me instantly. But he used other means and I learnt from it so much! I'm so happy :D I'm just waiting for it to go away completely now. No more visible evidence of it.
