We listen to the cricket as England lurch from hope to despair and we feel sorry for the people that have based their whole holidays on seeing mebounre and Sydney tests.
We arrive in Melbourne 4 hours later and arrive to meet jeff and Sharon 2 hours after that due to some incompetent map reading by emma coupled with some confusing road layouts….it al proved to be good publicity for the van covering most of melbournes suburbs but placed quite a strain on the driver! We ould have been ok ith a “tom tom”…possibly a good inclusion for any long term campervan rental :)
It was brilliant to see jeff Sharon leah and alec and made us think of home…we caught up with the latest gossip and decided to pop to the nearby shops to grab some beer and snacks…I (ana) head out in the van with jeff on the 5 minute trip to the shops and arrive back thirty minutes later after having got lost again but at least it wasn’t entirely my fault!
We received Christmas presents from emmas mum and dad which emma true to form opened immediately…….it did however inspire to get some decorations for the van. We stay the night in the same motel and in the morning Jeff and Sharon leave for Adelaide kitted out in nomads tee shirts, we will see them again on boxing day.
