Still on a high from Iquitos, with no sleep in 48 hours it was off to Ecuador where the cool temperatures, rain and high altitude made it a challenging experience.

Despite the lousy weather and the dodgy residents, our quirky hostel was full of great travellers from all over with many stories to share over an all you can drink happy hour!

The old town has a few historical churches from an early colonial era. But walking around is extremely hard at this altitude. The new Town has alot of touristic bars...and thats about it.

The scenery is best viewed from the roof top of our hostel!
