My Photo scholarship 2011 entry
Kenya | Monday, October 24, 2011 | 5 photos
I have always loved taking photographs and have now come to a point in my life that I am able to travel to different areas of the world to explore their cultures, customs, nature and animals.
The photos in this set are from a recent trip to Kenya where I had the opportunity to visit the Samburu tribe and learn about and from them. They were very hospitable and shared their way of life with us. One can only come away from the experience with a vastly greater appreciation of the world we live in and how fortunate, for me anyway, that I was born in a country that offers me so much more.
It has been my life long dream to be able to travel the world and to capture the world in photos, to share the photos with others, to try and understand and appreciate the stark differences in cultures around the world. It is my hope that by sharing my photos with others that they may also see the world through my photos and to appreciate and accept others as equals of this planet.
It has also been my dream to have the opportunity to learn from the best photographers in the world so that maybe one day, I too can have my photos displayed in National Geographic.
Thanks for considering me ... Allan
