An elderly female of the tribe despite her age participates in welcoming us to their village.

This Samburu village located just outside of the Samburu National Park is in a rather remote, harsh, dry environment. There are 9 families living in this village and despite the living conditions, they appear to live in harmony with the land and express themselves in colorful clothing and have an outgoing friendly attitude.

A young female member of the tribe, is almost of marrying age, 15, and will be expected to build her own home for her family when the time comes.
