Environmental effects of the rapid population growth and unsustainable cultivation process are causing weeds and algae surge and therefore distinction of its previous flora and fauna. by: aimonaput Views[390] Since the lake is shallow and covered with reed which disables regular mobility, men developed the specific rowing style to enhance their visibility and avoid clusters of weed. by: aimonaput Views[343] While on the other side a net is spread to catch these intentionally startled fish. The locals demonstrate their extreme skillfulness by standing at the stern and rowing with their leg as they are spreading the nets with their hands. by: aimonaput Views[385] The lake is unusually shallow, around two to three meters so the locals developed a distinctive technique which includes battering the water surface with an oar to guide the fish in one direction. by: aimonaput Views[367] After renting a boat in Nyaungshwe main dock, we set out one morning to discover how the locals spend their mornings on Inle Lake. On the pale horizon small dots occur separating the sky and the lake.
