My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

In the last few years photography has turned from passion to obsession. I'm captivated by the immediacy, the ability to turn a moment into forever and the process of documenting the now to create memories and evoke emotion. I've never had a lesson, but at the stage of my life where I'm seriously contemplating change. Seemingly stuck on the corporate ladder, afraid I've gone too far to jump off, but tired of the ascent knowing I picked the wrong ladder to climb.
I have a hunger for learning, satiated by new experiences, new skills, new knowledge, new encounters, new places and best of all new people. Building on my mistakes, discovering what I could do better, and being taught to fix problems I never knew I had. I like to push myself mentally and also physically, recently walking 100km non-stop for Oxfam; a challenge embraced with pride.
This career path previously seemed unreachable given my corporate entrenchment and something I am seriously considering right now. The opportunity to open the door of inspiration, learning, and a journey towards the dream of a new possibility, in Greenland (wow!) with an incredible teacher, would be just magical.
