Local Market in Chiang Mai

Local Market in Chiang Mai

Today Will and I took a cooking course at the Baan Thai Cooking School in Chiang Mai.  It was a really cool experience for someone who loves eating thai food.  First we went to the local market to buy all the ingridients.  The we learned how to make 6 different Thai dishes over the course of the day and got to eat everything we made.  My favourite was the Chiang Mai Noodles with red curry and chicken.  Our dessert was deep-fried bananas with vanilla ice cream.  It was delicious!  We also made mago with stickey rice and palm sugar, also very tasty!  I'm now trying to digest everything and thinking of what to dress up as for Halloween tonight.  We should be flying down to the islands within the couple days!  I can't wait for some beaches!
