Largie's laze-a-bout

Spanning 4 continents. 6 Countries. And 3 months. This Journey is about a bloke, a quick dry towel that's too small, and seeking answers to subject matter that has dogged Australians for some time now. Why was it so important for Emporer Nazi Goreng to keep rabbits out of China? Can an Australian tourist holiday in the Middle East without being mistaken for an American and subsequently kidnapped? Are the French really as rude as everyone says they are? Is it more important to run away from a lion really fast, or just run with someone who is a lot slower? I'll share the answers to all these perplexing questions and more throughout my curious and clueless cultural misadventures.

I hope everyone has as much fun reading this journal as I will have experiencing and writing it. And just so you don't develop a sudden case of cronic insomnia by merely thinking about even reading it, I will try to be as funny as humanly possibly. It's more of a tactic of staying sane rather than amusing anyone actually reading it.

I say this because the next bit is as about as serious as I'm going to get.

I leave Perth for Kunming, and on my arrival be starting a 22-day tour with Gecko that will treck it's way to Beijing visiting some of China's greatest monuments and natural features.
From Beijing I'll fly to Amman where I'll begin another tour with Peregrin, travelling from the north of Jordon to the south visiting the Rose city of Petra, the Dead Sea, the Wadi Rum desert, and other Jordanian sites.
To offset the tours, I will be spend a month in Europe and enjoying what Rome, Paris, and Madrid have to offer.
Ending my tour in Africa, I will visit my ELUSIVE family IN FRANCIS TOWN and check out with them the Okavanga Delta and other National Park areas IN BOTSWANA where I HOPE TO glimpse an eclectic mix of Africas native wild animals. And maybe even the THOKOLOSI. ALTHOUGH APPARENTLY HE IS QUITE SMALL AND LOOKS TEADDY BEAR-ISH.
