    During Holi many take it as an excuse to run wild and at times act inappropriately. Whilst most individuals of all ages tend to participate, you can occasionally catch the odd non-participating onlooker. There is a saying in India said during Holi that I feel is fitting here, It can take days to rid yourself of the lingering stain the colours thrown leave on your skin during Holi. Here a child is regretfully being washed of the colour by an auntie. by: zosogis Views[489] A grown man is subjected to a bucketful of coloured yellow powder in Sewri, Mumbai. by: zosogis Views[366] I woke on the morning of Holi to the sound of drums which I believed belonged to a large band perhaps playing to a local community. I dressed hurriedly grabbed my camera, and ventured towards the sound. Upon reaching my destination I was astonished to find that the sound did not belong to a parade but a group of boisterous boys hammering on bottles, jars, tins and whatever they could get a hold of blissfully creating havoc with their make-shift percussion. Holi is an incredibly exciting day for children, who wake in the early hours of the morning to participate in the fun-filled proceedings. by: zosogis Views[687] Holi is a flamboyant festival where coloured powder or watercolours are thrown on one another in celebration of the beginning of spring.
