    Tucked into the mountains outside of Nara people still come from far and wide to appreciate the ancient structures next to shrines. by: zimmermanwb Views[521] In Sapporo far up in northern Japan on the island of Hokkaido the yearly Yuki Matsuri or Snow Festival takes place. These hundreds of snowmen show the care and patience that people have to ensure the festival continues to take place and attract attention to carry on the tradition. by: zimmermanwb Views[1634] In the small town of Midorigaoka, a young man participates in the yearly village festival, happy to be part of the tradition by: zimmermanwb Views[259] This was taken outside of the train station in Kyoto. Hundreds of people crowded around the traditionally dressed geisha to watch the sacred art of tea ceremony by: zimmermanwb Views[1094] This is the Shinto Shrine of Miyajima, outside of Hiroshima at high tide. “Wild” deer stroll the island as they have for years.
