    A young woman looks over the town of Meybod...maybe thinking about the past and the future of the country, maybe thinking how one of the oldest countries in the world, with a glorious past during the Persian Empire, a great variety of religions including the zoroastrians and a very modern way of living has lost so many civil rights in the past 30 years.. by: xabijuez Views[284] Since 1979 when the Islamic Republic of Iran was created lots of mosques have been constructed. You can easily see huge mosques in tiny villages. Locals are sometimes critic with this compulsive construction of mosques rather than spending taxes in a more reflexive way. In this picture ou can see a couple of people praying in an empty courtyard. by: xabijuez Views[567] People in Iran is very friendly and curious about occidentally looking people and travellers..It is not strange to be photographied back by locals. If you are able to learn some farsi words you will be awarded with lots of smiles. by: xabijuez Views[1004] Travelling through the desert for hours from Esfahan to Yazd, or from Persepolis to Shiraz is an amazing experience. Lots of mountains can be seen, little villages in the middle of nowhere, and military complex surprise you during your trip. by: xabijuez Views[554] Driving in Iran is an issue only available for brave people. The chaos of the traffic hits you up as soon as you take a taxi at Tehran's airport.. You could think that this is normal for a city of almost 20 millions of inhabitants but later you will discover that this happens everywhere in Iran. There are thousands of motorcycles around the country. The kind of cycles shown in this pic is the most viewed since bigger ones are forbidden in Iran. Only policemen can drive the motorcycles with powerful engines. by: xabijuez Views[267]
