My Scholarship entry - Wings

Hello, my name is Jack Wooley. I have always been interested in photography. After raising 3 wonderful children with my wife I can now pursue it more diligently. It's only been in the last 7 or 8 years after getting a DSLR that I have really been able to improve the quality of my pictures. I have a BS degree in biology and my passion is nature photography. Going to Peru would be a dream come true, seeing the biodiversity and capturing it on 'film' then sharing it with others. Not to mention being mentored by Jason. They say if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. After working and raising a family I'm ready to do what I love. Growing up I couldn't wait for weekends to go out into the woods hunting or fishing. Now I go out with a camera every chance I get. I guess it's the anticipation of the 'hunt' and just enjoying the outdoors. I believe it's never too late to get stated on your dreams or to learn new things. Thank you for looking.
