Slept in today til 5.30am. Went for a walk again. After breakie decided to go to ThapBa Mineral Mud and Hot Mineral Water for a mud bath. Rode the m/bike there and it was a little hairy because we were in the outskirts and down narrow alleys. Finally found this place which is at the base of a mountain. At reception they tried to talk us into the top package which cost 3M+ dong which is $150. Soon told her that we didnt have that much money on us and the price and offering started to decrease. No food. No private bath. No massage etc. Finally settled on mixing it with the commoners and paid $6  for a mud bath experience and  mineral water and swimming pools. Put all our stuff in a locker and off we went. First we showered under a circular high pressure mineral water spray and then off to the bath where you sit with 5 other people and the mud is piped in. Oh what a feeling! We met a Norwegian / Vietnamese refugee and his daughter and her fiance in the bath and chatted about their lives. From here we hit the shower again to try and wash the mud off. What a joke, it seemed to stick everywhere. Thank god it was high pressured. From here to another pressured mineral spray before getting in a hot mineral bath. This was very refreshing after the mud. Then under the mineral spring waterfall before hitting the hot swimming pool 37 - 39.5C temp. Stayed in this for 15 min and then rested in deck chair before hitting the cold swimming pool and spa bath which was 26C.Seemed very cool and refreshing. Overall this was a great experience and we will have to dio it again someday. After lunch Kevin headed out for a long wonder around town and went to the Vien Pasteur Museum where the Frenchmans exploits and scientific background was highlighted. Kevin was gone for about 2 hours so I decided after a while to just go for a m/bike ride and look around the back streets. This is very interesting. Ended up at Vinpearl cablecar station which is north of town. For tea we wanted to go to the Greek restuarant but when we got there it was closed so we headed to Same Same but Different Restuarant which is a locally run Vietnamese restuarant that has western food as well. Kevin had Beef with seasonal vegies and I had Chicken with seasonal vegies. Was really nice. Best kevin has ever had. He was enchanted by the 2 girls that served there and chatted them up all night. For desert we had a fruit platter which was so sweet and fresh.
