I always had a camera around in my younger years and while taking photography in high school I was heavily encouraged to keep with it. However photography took a back seat to a few other things for awhile although through it all I always had a camera around. For 20 some years I followed my love for music and was a drummer in many bands, at just as many levels of the music industry spectrum. As my lust for rock stardom faded I gravitated towards and taught myself web design/development as a means to live. Over twelve years of that and I’m yearning for the adventures that my camera holds. Whether it be on the open road somewhere or in front of a beautiful model.
Over the past 8 years my passion for photography grew to a point where I spent many months at a time on the road capturing images from all over Canada and the Southwest United States. I love to travel and if I could, would do it constantly.
After settling back in Vancouver BC for a stint after my road trips I am now back in Calgary Alberta, a city I spent 7 years in playing music. Looking now for more new and exciting photographic endeavors. Since I have no real ties I’m open to any opportunity that allows me to make a living with my camera. I have even launched a website for my own service, the first of it’s kind, that offers personal vacation photography services to vacationing families and couples. In the meantime I’ll be continuing to do what I do and explore the prairies, find people to shoot, always learning and evolving. It’s what I love to do.
