    The bride and the groom pour Akshata (Rice mixed with saffron and turmeric) on each other. This is actually a fun event. It symbolizes the couple’s desire for happiness, enjoyment and contentment. They take turns to shower the rice on each other, as it progresses it gets more entertaining as they start competing each other.
