One Step Closer

Sayōnara, Colorado

Sayōnara, Colorado

WE’RE ONE STEP NEARER TO LEAVING.  Jim from Colorado Springs gave us a deposit on the RV, we can live in it until 30 June — and the check cleared — so that’s a burden lifted.  We still have the F-150 but we have offers from 2 Ford dealers, not what we're hoping for but a price that we can live with, so unless someone comes through on Craigslist, we’re covered there.  W-H-E-W!

   Cold but Sold!

We are nearly finished with the doctors, dentists, etc and have been shuttling goodies from the RV to our storage unit, shedding possessions on each trip.  There are a few bits of clothing that need replacing, especially cold weather items that we might want in Alaska and Japan (or maybe yet in CO) so a trip to REI is in the works.

We’ve revisited a few of our favorite birding spots, just for old time’s sake, but haven’t seen anything new or exciting.  John has been testing out his new camera and seems happy with the results.  Unfortunately, he didn’t take this photo of the recent nearby tornado!  Otherwise we’ve been chilling here at Buckley AFB, making plans for August when we alight in Japan.  Sayōnara for now.
