Barbados Parliment Building, Bridgetown, Barbados

AFTER ALL MY ANTICIPATION, IT WAS RAINING WHEN we docked in Barbados.  We weren’t really interested in going to the beach anyway, but we did want to look around UNESCO Bridgetown.  Dozens of Barbados bullfinches, the only bird endemic to the island, greeted us along the waterfront but, as luck would have it, most of Bridgetown is closed on Sundays, whether or not a ship arrives.

We circled the town leisurely, taking photos and sipping Diet Cokes.  A nice way to spend a rainy Sunday morning.
