THE CATARACT IN MY DOMINANT “CAMERA” EYE has become so annoying that I decided to take care of it here in Sierra Vista rather than wait until we are in Colorado. We planned on staying at the Ft. Huachuca FamCamp for 45 days, so there should be enough time and maybe — just maybe - I would be able to see clearly before we left. I elected not to have my astigmatism corrected — I am comfortable wearing contact lenses — but I expected to have great post-surgery distance vision. It seems determining the correct replacement lens is complicated for those — me — who have had LASIK surgery and the doctor got it wrong. I am not a happy camper but the contact lens he had in stock, though not exactly the right prescription, has made things much clearer.
