I took a late afternoon walk through Gorky Park to watch the sunset. Its already starting to get cold here in Moscow and was -2 degrees Celsius outside. I am leaving Moscow next week so trying to fit in the last couple of places left on my list.

Gorky park is definitely one of Moscow’s most famous parks. It is Right next to the Moscow River and use to have a huge forest and be the ideal place for pick-nicks. But ,unfortunately a huge part of the park has been turned into a theme park. Now Gorky park is famous for its ice-skating and amusement park rides.

Watching the sunset over the Moscow River

All the trees have already lost their leaves and you can see that the winter cold is fast approaching.

The wind picked up while standing next to the river and I realized that it is definitely time for my winter coat and that I was not dressed warm enough for this outing. So, unfortunately I didnt stay out as long as I would have wanted to.

The sun was already down and it wasn’t even 6 o’clock yet

I crossed the Moscow River and at the other side of the bridge found this beautiful church.
