Ruined Castle Hike - Megalong Valley - Blue Mountains

AUSTRALIA | Wednesday, 8 August 2007 | Views [3868]

Went on a hike to the "Ruined Castle" rock formation rising out of the Megalong Valley in the Blue Mountains this morning and took a 360 degree video from the top, careful not to get blown off since it was pretty windy up there. Near vertical stairs and trail down to the valley floor then back up to reach the top of the rock formation. You can then literally rock climb up to the top to overlook the valleys all around. Very nice. Beautiful day, clear blue skies, windy and cool, but perfect for a hike. Went with a personal trainer from the hotel, Joanne, who self-admittedly looks like Kylie. Alot of fun and very cool. Trail was very quiet in terms of people which was nice. Amazing that this is only 2 hours west of Sydney.

Off to kangaroo hunt this afternoon at dusk!

Check out the entire gallery from the hike.
