To Tok i say

Feeling like i had bottled out i started riding and continued in fine weather. Ominously dark clouds started appearing and a cold wind sprang up, then the rain at first a light shower then continuous and heavy with sleet at intervals. I was in between towns so continued on till i reached a town called Tok. Tok doesnt have a lot to offer the tourist but it did have a warm room and a hot shower, so i took the opportunity to dry all my wet gear and myself. The next day i would head to the border and my first road border crossing with Herbert. An uneventful ride although early fog did make it a little interesting as the sides if the roads were obscured from any lurking wildlife. A few hours later there it was the U.S. border as the official waved me through i said goodbye to beautiful Alaska and not quite hello to Canada as the customs post is some 20kms from the U.S. checkpoint.
