I spent the day in Fairbanks and Patrick took me on a tour of the local population of beavers. Amazing the size of trees that they can chop down with perfect gnawing symettry. In the afternoon i headed to Chena Hot Springs about 2.5hr from Fairbanks and had my first real camping out night. In the morning i noticed scratches around my tent area, bears possibly from the night before , glad i didnt see them when putting up the tent.
The next morning i rode back to Fairbanks and had to decide whether or not to go up the Hall Road to Prudhoe Bay. I made the decision to try and if it got to rough turn around as i am sure i had plenty of dirt riding to come. I was relieved when the first section was sealed then the rough sections started and after being pelted with rocks from the first passing truck decided i had a long way yet to go so turned tail but felt relieved for it. Carry on to the Yukon!
