Hi All,
Hope you are all happy, smiling and in good health!
Tommy and I are both well amd in Koa Tao at the moment an island off Thailand and loving it!! It is really relaxing and I am thinking about doing a diving certificate here.
Our first night in Thailand:
We arrived in Bangkok and had met a really nice guy on the plane who dropped us off on Koa Sarn Road a popular tourist spot in Bangkok, and somewhere easy to find accomodation for the night. It was the busiest street I had ever seen, hectic as, especially for 12 o'clock at night. The markets were still in full swing, tuc tucs and taxi's and people everywhere! CRAZY (Photo's under 'in Bangkok')
In our 4th hotel we got accomodamodation for the night. A bit smelly but the fan worked and at mid night we didn't care to much.
We hung out in Koa Sarn for 2 days before getting out of the city for a tour for 2 days to see the floating markets, Kinchinbruy where the famous Burma railway bridge is (we got to sleep in a floating hut on the river, which Tommy loved!). We got to pat tigers and bath with elephants as well! It was awesome (photo's under 'out of Bangkok')
After a hecic first 6 days we jumped an overnight train down to the Surat Tani to boat it over to the tropical islands to stay in a fancy resort for 3 days before hitting the cheaper huts for accomodation. When I say cheaper I mean around $18 per night. Pretty good for a Bamboo Bungaloo on the beach.
Anyway - Hope you all get to read this soon!
Luv Kath & Tommy
