Up at 5 AM the next morning we completed the short summit climb of 720 ft to reach the summit at 4220 m (13,845 ft). We caught the sunrise.

The sunrise was not as spectacular as the fog enshrouded sunrise from Santa Maria, but a still great view of the region from the 13,845 ft (4220 m) summit--the highest point in Central America. See video scan in the next story.

By the way you T2Cers, under my rain/wind shell I am wearing a big puffy provided by QuetzalTrekkers.
