Florence - June 21st - 23rd

We had a short walk to our place in Florence from the train station, unfortunately when we arrived it was poring rain.  I dug in my bag for my rain cover and jacket and still have a small umbrella that I found and fixed from Thailand. We waited a few minutes and dashed to our place as the rain let up. In the morning the weather was not the best so we just stayed close to home.  The next day was spent walking around the city as the weather was looking better.  We visited the Duomo and climber the 416 stairs to the top for a great view of the city.  We also went across the river to the top of the hill for a shot of the bronze David Statue.  We also walked down to the museum and there was a replica of the original David so we decided not to pay to see it as we heard it looked identical.  The final day would be spent walking the markets and doing research on Venice and Cinque Terre our next to stops on our journey.
