One of the few memories Connor has about Viet Nam (he was about 5 years when he left) was "the red bridge." Today, we immersed ourselves in the Viet Nam we remember, and in Viet Nam the new.

Some things never change--the wonderful maze of streets that make up the Old Quarter, the graciousness of the Vietnamese, the quiet serenity of early morning Ha Noi with its citizens doing Tai Chi by Hoan Kiem Lake.

Change, however, is everywhere. A New Prosperity--complete with western horrors like KFC, but thankfully no Golden Arches--and benefits like overall better health for its citizens and a booming economy. Viet Nam is a country on the move...
