Hit the markets today in Riobamba. There were a few markets on that tended to merge into one huge one as stalls covered the streets surrounding each.
Fruit and veg markets we're getting use to and buying our stuff from but this was our first animal market. Wow what a sight and smell. Anything you could want or eat was there - our first inclination that we were at a animal market was wandering past a hession sack that miaowed, from there all sacks moved and made noises. Puppies were in cages with geese, there were chooks in cars, on cars and around cars. All types of poultry, rabbits and guineapigs for eatting. We even spotted a turtle.
Glen remarked about halfway through that it's lucky we don't live around here because we'ld keep collecting animals. A blind puppy was my main concern.
