it's getting more and more beautiful

it's getting more and more beautiful

We arrived yesterday in Wellington to spend some days here and meet Malte a friend of Nadja.Had some nice days before. A lot of adventures as everyday. Went up to Mount Ruapehu scenery of "Mordor" in the Lord of the Rings  movies. Nice place with bad weather. So we had also some snow like you at home in Germany! But we went off very fast to cold for us and travelled to a small spot north of Wanganui and stayed there for one night. Quite good because we had real bad weather so we had some water in our camper!!!! U may think 'Yeah right' but it was real. So we travelled on the next day to see Wanganui, real nice small town with a beautiful atmosphere you can feel everywhere around. Brought some stuff we need and walked up to the old tower to have a nice view over NZ! Later on we took a ride to Waitarere on the west coast check the swell but there was none! Too much wind so we decided to walk to the around 1887?? stranded wrack of the Hydrabad. Didn't found one so we went back to have a great beef BBQ at the campground! Next day the owner of the campground give us a lift to the old wrack. We looked after it in the water but it was strandet up to the beach. So we found it recently with some help. Great  stuff what you can find on the beach!!!! Later on we drove to a DOC campground in a forest and hiked around in the mountains to drive to Wellington on the next day. On the way here we brought some Kumaras It's obne of the national food here. A kind of sweet potatos you can get them in orange, red and golden and they taste really great!!!!! Now we are a kind of Kumarajunkies! So we had over 5 kg in our camper because somebody told us they are more expensive in the south! So we arrived yesterday in Wellington picked up Malte at his flat and found a nice place to be right on the red rocks on the seaside. Met some Ostfriesen on tour there and had a long long chatty night up there. The landscape and the sundown was some of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Take a look at the pics! On Monday we will take the ferry down to Picton on the south island. Nadja said it was one of the most beautiful ferry routes! I'm looking foreward!
