wisdom path at lantau

wisdom path at lantau

today

second day Hong Kong.

It started with a great noodle soup for breakfast and at the end we stumbled in the biggest lightshow on earth. We had a long and sunny ferry journey to Lantau Island today. In the morning it was about 30 degrees and great HK weather. So we arrived on Lantau Island and the first thing we did is jumping into the warm (nearly hot) Lantau ocean water. That was really great (and fu*****) dirty. But there were also other alive people in the water, so it was ok. After that we took the bus to the world tallest Buddha up on Lantau. I would't discripe... I couldn't. It was unbelieveable, look at the pics. It was a  huge area with an old temple and an great atmosphere.Such as I know it from TV, but that was real. Bigger and much more wonderful than you can imagine. So we stayed there the whole day at 30degrees and sunshine. At the end of the day we went to the wisdom path. Thats a place where Confucians, Buddhists and Taoists come together for praying. The wisdom path are huge wood pieces in a endless shape and present the idea of immeasureable splendour and infinity. A wonderful quite place. Nobody there expect us and a chinese couple. Great. All in all. Sightseeing was very empty. I think it's because the chinese need to work the whole week. Good for us. Let's see tomorrow. It's saturday! Look on the other pic in the photo libary
