Hoi An - Old quarter street scene

Hoi An - Old quarter street scene

We went and saw 2 Chinese temples.  One was built for a loyal, ordinary man who people now worship. Early in the morning, after going to the fish market, we walked to an old Cham well and met an old man carrying water and keeping the tradition going who was stronger than Dad. At 2:30pm we caught a local bus to Danang. They tried to charge us 4 times the local price for a crowded and crazy ride - we paid less. In Danang we went to the train station but it was unfortunately shut for a while. We had a drink and eventually bought tickets to Hanoi. We stayed at the closest hotel. Watched "Hellboy" on cable TV and went out looking for dinner. Our mastercard didn't work but luckily Mum found some US money to buy two fried rice to share at the hotel.

Dear Asher and family,
We've finally (with the help of Ethan's mum) got onto your website.
We are so excited to be able to read your tales.
Your journey sounds so amazing, and so different to what we know in Australia.
You sound like you are having fun.
We have enjoyed reading about the different foods in Vietnam.
We have one day to go until holidays. We have been working hard (surprise surprise) and we're all ready for a holiday.
We miss you a lot.
Happy Easter!
Lots of love from Mrs Harris and your classmates.
