Well, I have been here a week in Kentucky and its all going fine. I took a few photos today (may I stress "a few")
I headed to the horse races today, which was heaps of fun. They were at the Keeneland racing track which was just lovely. A really pretty setting. I had a few wins, nothing major unfortunately but I think I came out a little in front. It was soooo hot - 100 degress F which is really hot this time of year. Similar to Australia hot days, no humidity like Bangkok!
Yesterday I went on a bit of a drive throught the country side. The scenery around Lexington is georgoeus! Lots of green padocks with white fences and horses! Lots of horse farms. A few little streams. Its been a really dry summer (Iits fall at the moment, or autumn) and everyone comments on how dry it is, but its still really green. After the cement and steel city of Bangkok, its nice to be back into open, green, nature rich land of Kentucky. And really good to breath toxic-free, clean air again for a while! Also did a bit of wine tasting - Americans cannot make wine. The whites were un-drinkable and the reds barely. I bought a bottle of red though, because I felt bad for them, no one else bought any!
I am looking forward to getting back to Bangkok though, just a few more weeks here before I head home. Ill pop the photos up, like I said, not many...
