    As protests and demonstrations are such an integral part of the lives of Palestinians, I spent much of my time attending these events in the hope to portray another side to them that is not necessarily as readily aired on Western media coverage. This particular protest started as a football match, with the Palestinian pictured playing as the goal keeper. With the emphasis being put on the peaceful nature of the protest, it was discouraging to see how rapidly the army resorted to heavy-handedness and tear-gas. Views[158] The children of the Sussya camp are some of the most welcoming and curios of any children I've met whilst travelling. We spent more than three hours with the group in this photograph, and it was hard to realise that children who were so ambitious and open were under threat every day from being attacked by settlers from the near-by settlement. In the background is a large settlement, which seems somewhat ironic, as the water and crops that the settlers live off was the property of the tribe only 5 years ago. Now, their water is contaminated, they have no crops, and they receive regular attacks on their tents and residents. Views[285] Two children welcomed our group of international visiters to their home in Hebron. Their home had become such a frequent target for Israeli aggression that all of the windows have steel bars to protect the inhabitants, and the children are not allowed to leave their home for more than 10 minutes at a time. Even with these horrendous circumstances for a child to be reared, they still have the curiosity and childishness to wave and smile to new people. Views[154] Through a process of rapid settlement expansion, and the very tactical nature in which this is done, Palestinian families are being forced into increasingly smaller spaces for habitation. The West Bank city of Hebron is a perfect example, with many areas of the cities looking more reminiscent of favela's than city dwellings.
