Kerio View Video

KENYA | Saturday, 17 January 2009 | Views [1336] | Comments [6]

A recent video from Kerio View, Kenya. We went with Maxxx to help him advertise for the grocery store Ukwala and ran into this Maasai choir from Tanzania. They had come for a feast a nun had thrown the day before, and they were giving the nun and her two nun friends a private concert overlooking the Rift Valley. The nun invited us to join the audience and then the choir invited us and the nun to join the choir.

SYLVIA,
HOW CLOSE ARE YOU TO THE VILLAGE OF O'BAMA'S FATHER?
LOTS OF PRESS ABOUT THEIR CELEBRATION...ARE YOU GOING TO BE THERE?...SOMEWHERE IN KENYA? I CAN'T WAIT TO READ ABOUT WHAT YOU EXPERIENCE...NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE IN KENYA!
IT IS PRETTY EXCITING HERE..
MUCH LOVE

Hi Sylvia!!
It's January 23rd and we are still on the "high" of the inauguration. I imagine it is jumping over there too. I saw a photo of your sister, mom and Dad via the
Hawaii State Society inaugural ball http://gallery.me.com/vawahine#100043 Good lookin' group!
I LOVE that Maasai choral group video (had a friend from the Museum of Science in Boston who used to hunt with the Maasai every year for a few months, had great admiration for their culture and was made an honorary member! You look so HAPPY.....and I think you will be ready for a career in diplomacy after this trip...you give us Americans a good name! All the best and welcome to the New Year!! Love, Aunt Lynn
